Oh boy! What have I gotten myself into! I have joined NanoWriMo and hope to complete a novel by the end of the month. Who knows who far I will get . LOL I’ll keep you all updated as I go.

Well Yes, I have. Sorry I haven’t been around much, but I still have been checking my new website and also making sure that I actually get started on my new newsletter.
I do a lot of jobs besides my own and sometimes those take over.
Lately I have been working on a side business in making newsletters for authors. I have my first client and am looking forward to working with her. You know who you are: Miriam! 
Other than that I have been working on editing two other stories I have not touched in a quite a long time with my poetry in order to make a book.
So don’t worry, you will be hearing from me more!

As some of you already know, my 8 year old daughter Brooke suffers from a life long chronic illness known as juvenile diabetes. Currently, there is no cure and she must receive daily insulin injections (4 to 6 per day) and daily finger sticks (5 to 8 per day) to control her blood sugar. Type 1 diabetes is different from the much more publicized Type 2 diabetes in that Type 1 is not treatable by diet control and/or oral medication. It is a chronic, life threatening illness that requires daily use of insulin as a means of life support.
My daughter was diagnosed at age 2 and is a six year veteran of the disease. She is the toughest, bravest soul that I’ve ever known. She doesn’t let this monster keep her down.

Drying myself as best as I could, I pushed the water droplets off my coat as I came in under the small roof provided by the bar. The young man looked at me and smiled slightly. Being polite and in a different time, I smiled back. When he came into the light, I couldn’t believe my eyes. It was James Dean! This was not the same James that I had seen in pictures or read about.
